I liked the game, but it’s emphasis on puzzles wasn’t as interesting to me, although I enjoyed playing mini-games against the locally trained chimps. There is Nancy, her friends George and (a missing) Bess and Johnny Rolle – the only suspect on the island.
In older games, Nancy is able to call authors involved in the story to ask them about different subject matter and try and find relevant linkages to the cases.Īs much as I enjoyed Ransom of the Seven Ships, it lacked interaction. In games like Alibi in Ashes and Warnings at Waverly Academy, the player is even able to contact outside sources by phone who belong to that space to help them learn more about the suspects. My favourite Nancy Drew games have included 5, making it much more interactive and creating a convincing world where the player can feel immersed. In all of the games, the player meets about 2-5 possible suspects. Lots of suspects and character interaction. This year, Her Interactive released their 30th game, The Shattered Medallion. In this lovely PC series, you get to be a female protagonist for starters, solve puzzles and unearth a variety of mysteries. I’ve always been an avid player of the Nancy Drew games. Nerdy post alert!
